TAYLOR, Joseph, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, 1792 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; colonel, 79th Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia; superintendent, Hope Mission Day School, Allentown (1816); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1829-1830 term; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1830-1834); died, March 3, 1864 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Woodlands Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
