WEYANT, Samuel, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, 1791 in Philadelphia County, Pa.; elected, assessor, East Kensington, Philadelphia County (1834); public school director, Philadelphia County (1834): unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1822, 1823); elected, delegate, Internal Improvement Convention (1825): elected as an Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1835-1836 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1836); appointed, alderman, Kensington (1836-1845); saddle tree maker; superintendent, coal yard; died, July 18, 1879 in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Palmer Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
