KERR, James, a Representative from Washington County; born in Scotland; miller; wheelwright; elected as a Democratic-Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1801-1802, 1802-1803, 1803-1804, 1806-1807, 1807-1808, 1809-1810 and 1812-1813 terms; reelected to the House as a Republican to the 1813-1814 term; reelected to the House as a Democratic-Republican for the 1816-1817 term; reelected to the House as a Democrat to the 1817-1818 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1814, 1815, 1818, 1819); unsuccessful campaign, sheriff, Washington County (1808); died, September of 1869 in Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, Center Presbyterian Churchyard, Thompsonville, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
