KNIGHT, Jonathan T., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born November 21, 1791 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; lawyer; unsuccessful campaign, auditor, Philadelphia County (1821); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1824-1825, 1825-1826 and 1826-1827 terms; elected, school director, Byberry schools (1827-1828); appointed, justice of the peace (1828, 1852); appointed, associate judge, Philadelphia County (1828-1835); presidential elector (1832); commissioner, Philadelphia and Trenton Railroad Company (1832-1833); farmer; died, June 26, 1858 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
