HUBBELL, Truman Mallory, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, September 19, 1788 in Montgomery, Hampden County, Ma.; engaged, lumber and rafting business; engaged, cotton business; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1835-1836 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1836); elected, board of health, Philadelphia County (1837); director, Plymouth Coal Company (1838); unsuccessful campaign, sheriff, Philadelphia County (1841); farmer; died, May 10, 1878 in Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Chester Rural Cemetery, Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
