HESTON, Jacob Franklin, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, February 8, 1778 in Blockley Township (now Philadelphia), Philadelphia County, Pa.; lawyer; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1819, 1841); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1825-1826 term; elected, manager of the poor, Roxborough Township (1838-1839); died, December 5, 1845 in Roxborough Township (now Philadelphia), Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
