BOYER, Heinrich Shantz “Henry,” a Representative from Berks and Schuylkill Counties; born, October 19, 1778 in Pennsylvania; ensign, 113th Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia (1812-1814, War of 1812); proprietor, Boyertown Inn; unsuccessful campaign, commissioner, Berks County (1805, 1808); farmer; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1814, 1815, 1819); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the in 1823-1824, 1824-1825, 1825-1826 and 1826-1827; reelected to the House for the 1831-1832 term; died, March 18, 1857 in Boyertown, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
