SHIMKUS, Frank Andrew, a Representative from Lackawanna County; born in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pa., 1952; graduated, Scranton Central High School, 1969; B.A., English, University of Scranton, 1973; M.A., biblical studies, Antietam Bible Seminary, 1991; D. Min., theology, Antietam Bible Seminary, 1995; news director and anchor; pastor; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 2007 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (2008); radio show host (2011, 2017-present); elected, mayor, Throop (2017).
