COMLY, James, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, October 23, 1787 in Bucks County, Pa.; farmer; elected as an Oppositionist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1835-1836 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1836); died, September 26, 1837 in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Abington Friends Cemetery, Jenkintown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
