BUCKMAN, Robert Burroughs, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, January 5, 1797 in Newtown, Bucks County, Pa.; alderman; elected as an Oppositionist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1835-1836 term; justice of the peace, Bristol, Germantown and Roxborough Townships (now Philadelphia) (1837-1854); conveyancer; director, Keyston Land and Building Association (1852): died, September 9, 1885 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, North Cedar Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
