KELCHNER, George William, a Representative from Northampton, Pike and Wayne Counties; born, December 20, 1779 in Berks County, Pa.; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1829-1830, 1831-1832 and 1832-1833 terms; died, March 10, 1836 in Towamensing, Northampton County (now Carbon County), Pennsylvania; interred, Saint John’s Church Cemetery, Palmerton, Carbon County, Pennsylvania.
