WESTON, James, a Representative from Crawford, Erie, Mercer, Venango and Warren Counties; born, 1768; farmer; elected, commissioner, Erie County (1803-1804); elected, sheriff, Erie County (1810); deputy United States marshal (1812); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1813-1814 term; reelected to the House as a Democratic Republican for the 1814-1815 and 1815-1816 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1816, 1818); appointed, justice of the peace (1820, 1832); reelected to the House as a Federalist for the 1822-1823 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1823); died, November 18, 1846 in Pennsylvania; interred, Mitchell Cemetery, Cambridge Springs, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
