HOOVER, Philip, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, July 20, 1782 in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, Pa.; second lieutenant, Montgomery Rifle Greens, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War of 1812); farmer; owner, grocery store; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1830-1831, 1831-1832 and 1832-1833 terms; died, January 17, 1865 in Blue Bell, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Boehm Cemetery, Blue Bell, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
