BRINGHURST, Wright Armot, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, June 29, 1799 in Pennsylvania; farmer; elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1835-1836 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1836); trustee, Pennsylvania Female College (1851-1855); president, Pennsylvania Female College (1855-1868); bank director; died, October 2, 1876 in Trappe, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint James Episcopal Church Cemetery, Evansburg, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
