EVANS, James, Jr., a Representative from Montgomery County; born, March 9, 1773; lieutenant colonel, Second Brigade, 2nd Division, Pennsylvania Militia (War of 1812); appointed, justice of the peace, Providence Township (1814); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1826-1827, 1827-1828, 1828-1829 and 1829-1830 terms; died, April 3, 1842 in Limerick, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Limerick Church Burial Ground, Limerick, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
