ROYER, Joseph, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, February 6, 1784 in Providence Township, Philadelphia (now Montgomery) County, Pa.; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1821-1822 and 1822-1823 terms; merchant; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1828); appointed, associate judge, Montgomery County (1837); died, November 9, 1863 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Augustus Lutheran Church Cemetery, Trappe, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
