(1802); attorney; engaged, real estate, North American Land Company; elected, United States Congress (1827-1829); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1829-1830 and 1830-1831 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1831-1832 term; appointed, associate judge, Crawford County (1831-1845); engaged, mining; trustee, Allegheny College (1839); elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (1840); died, August 24, 1845 in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Greendale Cemetery, Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
