Mahaffey’s Company, 137th Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War of 1812); farmer; president, Crawford County Democratic Committee (1835-1840); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1838-1839 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1839-1840 term; died, September 30, 1860 in Vernon, Crawford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Denny Cemetery, Hayfield Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
