SHAFFER, Henry, a Representative from Columbia, Northumberland and Union Counties; unsuccessful campaign, coroner, Northumberland County (1794, 1806); elected, sheriff, Northumberland County (1810-1813); elected, auditor, Northumberland County (1814); elected as a Democratic-Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1814-1815 and 1815-1816 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1816); appointed, associate judge, Northumberland County (1818-1833); died, 1833 in Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
