KREMER, George, a Representative from Columbia, Northumberland and Union Counties; born, November 21, 1775 in Middletown, Dauphin County, Pa.; store clerk (1792-1827); lawyer; elected as a Democratic-Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1812-1813 term; reelected to the House as a Republican for the 1813-1814 term; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1816); elected, United States Congress (1823-1829); unsuccessful campaign, United States Senate (1825); died, September 11, 1854 in Middleburg, Union County (now Snyder County), Pennsylvania; interred, Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg, Snyder County, Pennsylvania.
