SPAYD, Christian, a Representative from Dauphin County; born, August 16, 1773 in Pennsylvania; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1830-1831 and 1831-1832 terms; appointed, commissioner, Susquehanna River (1834); postmaster, United States Postal Service, Middletown (1836); died, August 29, 1841 in Middletown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Peter’s Cemetery, Middletown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
