FOX, John, a Representative from Dauphin County; born, June 10, 1780 in Pennsylvania; drover; elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1831-1832 and 1832-1833 terms; elected, sheriff, Dauphin County (1833-1834); died, July 19, 1853 in Hummelstown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hummel Memorial Cemetery, Hummelstown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
