KENDIG, Martin, a Representative from Dauphin County; born, December 31, 1792 in Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pa.; farmer; unsuccessful campaign, sheriff, Dauphin County (1836); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1837-1838 and 1838-1839 terms; died, August 28, 1850 in Middletown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
