THOMPSON, Dr. William, a Representative from Chester County; born, August 22, 1765 in Mill Creek, New Castle County, De.; physician; justice of the peace (1806): elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1824-1825, 1825-1826, 1826-1827 and 1827-1828 terms; died, January 20, 1844 in Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, New Garden Orthodox Friends Cemetery, New Garden, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
