CHANDLER, John, Jr., a Representative from Chester County; born, December 24, 1791 in London Grove Township, Chester County, Pa.; farmer; elected as Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1823-1824, 1824-1825 and 1825-1826 term; elected, delegate, Republican County Convention (1826-1833); elected, delegate, Whig County Convention (1834-1851); elected, delegate, Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention (1837-1838); died, September 2, 1857 in Kennett Square, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Kennett Friends Cemetery, Kennett Square, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
