GRIFFITH, Dr. Benjamin, a Representative from Chester County; born, March 2, 1792 in Pennsylvania; studied medicine with Dr. William B. Duffield; physician; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1828); elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1830-1831, 1831-1832 and 1832-1833 terms; died, May 12, 1858 in West Nantmeal Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Glenmoore, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
