(1820-1822); elected, council, Bridgeport (1823, 1825-1826); elected, delegate, State Democratic Convention (1824, 1828); elected as a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1826-1827, 1827-1828 and 1828-1829 terms; not a candidate for reelection for the 1829-1830 term; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1830-1833); co-owner, Friendship Paper-Mill (1832-1833); died while in office of the Senate, July 14, 1833 in Bridgeport, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; interred, Redstone Cemetery, Brownsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania
