BELL, James, a Representative from Lebanon County; born, Hanover Township, Lancaster County (now, Dauphin County), Pa. in 1772; private, captain Jacob Dietrich’s Company, 2nd Regiment, Third Brigade, Pennsylvania’s Milita (1814-1815, War of 1812); farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1824-1825, 1825-1826 and 1826-1827 terms; died, March 6, 1841 near Grantville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Hanover Presbyterian Churchyard, Grantville, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
