HAMBRIGHT, Henry, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, April 11, 1751 in Lancaster County, Pa.; private, 8th Battalion, Continental Army (1776, Revolutionary War); captain, 1st Regiment Flying Camp of Lancaster (1776, Revolutionary War; prisoner of war, November 16, 1776-November 14, 1780); colonel, Pennsylvania Militia (1785-1800); brigadier general, First Brigade, Pennsylvania Militia (1800); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1800, 1801); elected as a Federalist to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1813-1814, 1814-1815, 1816-1817 and 1817-1818 terms; died, March 2, 1835 in Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Old Welsh Cemetery, East Earl Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
