KENNEDY, Maxwell, a Representative from Lancaster County; born, May 1, 1782 in Warren Township, Somerset County, NJ; colonel, 1st Regiment, First Brigade, Pennsylvania Militia (1814-1815, War of 1812); hotel proprietor; elected, delegate, State Anti-Masonic Convention (1829, 1830, 1831, 1832, 1838); elected, delegate, National Anti-Masonic Convention (1832); elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1835-1836 term; died, August 30, 1845 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Bellevue Presbyterian Cemetery, Gap, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
