PRETZ, Christian, a Representative from Lehigh County; born, April 29, 1801 in Heidelberg Township, Northampton County (now Lehigh County), Pa.; merchant; commissioner, Lehigh County (1827); elected as an Anti-Mason to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1830-1831 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1841); director, Allentown Railroad (1853); trustee, Allentown Savings Institution; trustee, Muhlenberg College (1869); died, February 28, 1884 in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Cemetery, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
