DALE, James, a Representative from Union County; born, August 3, 1780 in Chester County, Pa.; farmer; appointed, commissioner, Union County (1814); elected, delegate, State Democratic Convention (1817); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1820); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1821-1822, 1822-1823 and 1823-1824 terms; elected, delegate, Pennsylvania State Temperance Convention (1834); died, October 11, 1862 in Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lewisburg Cemetery, Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania.
