BEECHER, John O., a Representative from Bradford and Tioga Counties; born, May 24, 1784 in Lee, Berkshire County, Ma.; engaged, lumber business; tavern owner; appointed, treasurer, Tioga County (1820); elected, sheriff, Tioga County (1824-1825); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1830-1831 and 1831-1832 terms; died, January 5, 1859 in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania; interred, Sunny Slope Cemetery, West Point, King William County, Virginia.
