KRUMBHAAR, Christian Ludwig, “Lewis,” a Representative from Philadelphia City; born, September 26, 1777 in Saxony, Germany; merchant; manager, The Saving Fund Society (1818); vice consult of Hamburg for Philadelphia; acting consol general of Hamburg to the United States (1822); engaged, real estate; director, Philadelphia Ice Company (1833-1834); elected as a Whig to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1835-1836 term; died while in office, February 1, 1836 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint John’s Episcopal Lutheran Churchyard, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; removed to, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
