FOX, Donald William, a Representative from Lawrence and Mercer Counties; born in North Beaver Township, Lawrence County, Pa., May 28, 1922; graduated, Mt. Jackson Township High School, 1940; A.B., Westminster College, 1944; lieutenant, "U.S.S. Dauphin" (1944-1946), United States Navy (1943-1946, World War II); owner, dairy business, processor and distributor of milk and milk products; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1956; reelected to serve 8 more consecutive terms; elected, Republican Caucus Secretary (1971-1974); appointed, Speaker's Committee on Tax Reform (1970); appointed, Joint State Government Commission (1971-1974); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1974); instructor, Westminster College; elected, delegate, Republican National Convention (1976); appointed, member, State Board of Education (1976-1987); chair, Lawrence County Republican Committee; died, April 22, 2021 in Enon Valley, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
