EMHART, John, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, December 18, 1838 in Württemberg, Germany; private, Company C, 27th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1861-1864, Civil War); baker; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1887 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1889 term; hotel proprietor and saloon keeper; died, December 30, 1909 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Greenmount Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
