YOST, Benjamin Jefferson, a Representative-elect from Schuylkill County; born in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, Pa., August 20, 1853; barber; appointed, deputy clerk, Schuylkill County courts (2 years); elected, council, Shenandoah (7 years); operator, Lakeside Hotel (11 years); restauranteur (1 year); health officer, Rush and Ryan Townships; deputy coroner, Schuylkill County; Pennsylvania State marshal; appointed, chief burgess, Tamaqua (1915-1916); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1917 term; died prior to taking the oath, December 27, 1916 in Tamaqua, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; interred, Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Tamaqua, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
