HALDEMAN, Isaiah Tyson, a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Perkiomen Township, Montgomery County, Pa., July 16, 1877; attended, West Chester Normal School (now West Chester University of Pennsylvania); attended, Ursinus College; general merchandiser (9 years); farmer; school director (10 years); mercantile appraiser, Montgomery County; elected, justice of the peace, Lower Salford Township; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1917 term; reelected to serve 2 more consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1923 term; elected, prothonotary, Montgomery County (1923-1926); died, January 5, 1946 in Norristown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Keely’s Church Cemetery, Schwenksville, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
