DITHRICH, William Heber, a Representative from Allegheny County; born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa., October 25, 1886; graduated, Mercersburg Academy, 1906; graduated, Washington and Jefferson College, 1909; J.D., University of Pittsburgh, 1912; second lieutenant, Troop H, 1st Pennsylvania Cavalry (1911); first lieutenant and squadron adjutant , 111th Infantry, Pennsylvania National Guard (1915); first lieutenant, 11th United States Cavalry (1918); lawyer; member, Republican County Committee (1912-1914); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1917, 1919, and 1921 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1923 term; appointed, Allegheny County Common Pleas Court (1931-1944); appointed, Superior Court of Pennsylvania (1944-1953); died, April 18, 1953 in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Coraopolis Cemetery, Coraopolis, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
