CURRIER, Dr. Jonathan, a Representative from Clearfield County; born, October 28, 1851 near Port Deposit, Cecil County, Md.; attended, Columbus Medical College, Oh.; M.D., Kentucky School of Medicine, 1881; saw mill machine operator; head sawyer, Erastus Luther saw mill; physician; proprietor, drug store; elected, burgess, Grampian (1886, 1895); school director; elected, coroner, Clearfield County; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1906, 1908, 1910, and 1912; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1914); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1918); died, October 30, 1930 in Clearfield, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania; interred, Friends Cemetery, Grampian, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
