CHESNUT, Clem, a Representative from Fulton County; born in Hustontown, Fulton County, Pa., February 20, 1857; graduated, Cumberland Valley State Normal School (now Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania), 1886; graduated, Williamsport Commercial School, 1888; teacher (14 years); county superintendent of schools, Fulton County (9 years); school director; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Hustontown; editor, Fulton Democrat; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1916; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House in the 1918 General election; died, February 19, 1928 in Hustontown, Fulton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hustontown Methodist Cemetery, Hustontown, Fulton County, Pennsylvania.
