BENCHOFF, Louden Francis, a Representative from Franklin County; born in Fairfield, Adams County, Pa., January 23, 1851; graduated, National Normal School, Ohio; teacher; farmer; fruit grower; principal, Rouserville Academy and Waynesboro High School; elected, superintendent, Franklin County (1902-1908); teacher and superintendent, Clearfield; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1917 and 1919 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1921 term; died, June 12, 1935 in Hooverville, Franklin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
