ASTON, Richard, a Representative from Luzerne County; born, May 27, 1871 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire County, England; coal miner; building contractor; president, Wilkes-Barre Brick Company; proprietor, Aston Bros. Builders; treasurer, Wilkes-Barre Construction Company; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1917 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1918); reelected to the House for the 1921 term and served 3 consecutive terms thereafter; died while in office, April 9, 1927 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hanover Green Cemetery, Hanover Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
