TAHL, Herman Jay, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, June 20, 1892 in Russia; LL.B., University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1914; lawyer; member, 12th Ward Republican Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1929 term; reelected to the House to serve 9 more nonconsecutive terms of 1931, 1933, 1935, 1939, 1943, 1945, 1947, 1949 and 1951; appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Corporations and Cooperatives (1947-1948); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1937 and 1941 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1953 term; died, April 4, 1983 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
