MUMFORD, Aaron Weller, a Representative from Warren County; born in Crawford County, Pa., 1868; graduated, Clarion State Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, Clarion), 1893; graduated, Allegheny College, 1898; principal, Punxsutawney High School (1898-1900); supervising principal, Sheffield Public Schools (1900-1906); wholesale lumber businessman (1906-1929); elected, council president, Warren (1914-1915); elected, associate judge, Warren County (1917); appointed, Secretary, Pennsylvania Board of Education (1926); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1929 term and reelected for 2 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1934); died, December 26, 1935 in Warren, Warren County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oakland Cemetery, Warren, Warren County, Pennsylvania.
