KIRLEY, Thomas J., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa. on July 12, 1894; attended parochial and public schools; served, United States Navy (1917-1919, World War I); police inspector; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1942; reelected and served 3 more consecutive terms; appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Juvenile Delinquency and Child Welfare (1947-1948); died while in office, February 9, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
