HARRIS, John William, Jr., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, December 8, 1898 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; attended, Southern High School; attended, Evening School of Accounts and Finance, University of Pennsylvania; served, United States Navy (World War I); associated with real estate office; secretary-manager and president, Berean Savings and Loan Association; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1933 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1935 term; president, Eden Cemetery Co.; died, February 1, 1982 in Bryn Mawr, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Eden Cemetery, Collingdale, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
