SNIDER, E. Gadd, a Representative from Fayette County; born in South Union Township, Fayette County, Pa.; attended, Washington & Jefferson Academy (now Washington & Jefferson College); attended, West Virginia University; farmer and dairyman; coal operator; delegate, Young Democratic Convention, Erie (1938); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1942; reelected to serve 8 more consecutive terms; appointed, Joint State Government Commission Sub-Committee on Strip Mining (1945-1946); appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Education (1947-1948); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1960); liaison officer to the Senate, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives; died, September 13, 1967 in Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Grove Cemetery, Uniontown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.
