ANSTINE, Sigesmund “Simon,” a Representative from York County; born, October 4, 1763 in Montgomery County, Pa.; farmer; elected, auditor, York County (1821-1823); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1825-1826; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1826, 1827); died, February 22, 1849 in Windsor Township, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, Freysville, Cemetery, Freysville, York County, Pennsylvania.
