RAY, John, a Representative from Union County; born, June 28, 1778 in Pennsylvania; farmer; elected, sheriff, Union County (1813-1816); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1818-1819 and 1819-1820 terms; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1826-1830); died, September 10, 1864 in Mifflinburg, Union County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mifflinburg Cemetery, Mifflinburg, Union County, Pennsylvania.
